Space Foundation Supports Congressman Bridenstine for Nomination as NASA Administrator

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept. 1, 2017) – Today, President Trump announced his intention to nominate Congressman James Frederick “Jim” Bridenstine (R-OK) as the next NASA Administrator. Bridenstine presently represents the Tulsa region of Oklahoma and sits on important congressional committees that oversee U.S. activity in space.

“Jim Bridenstine has a long history of service to the nation. Whether it be his time in Congress, previously in the U.S. Navy and presently with the Air Guard, Jim and his family have repeatedly answered the call. For him to serve as leader of NASA is only fitting,” said Tom Zelibor, Space Foundation Chief Executive Officer.

“The Space Foundation is fortunate to have a long-standing relationship with Congressman Bridenstine. We have seen firsthand his dedication to America remaining a leader in space and he is the person to lead the agency that so many Americans care deeply about. We hope the Senate can act swiftly on his confirmation,” said Zelibor.
